Extruded acrylic (A1 GLAS) is a type of acrylic sheet that is produced by PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) resin with an extrusion machine. Unlike acrylic sheets which are manufactured using the casting method by pouring liquid resin between glass molds before undergoing heat treatment and curing, 

A1 GLAS is manufactured using a calendering method in which the raw materials are melted and passed through a heating roller in an extrusion line in order to lower thickness variation. Although the surface strength is slightly weaker than cast acrylic, which can result in cracking or deformation during processing such as adhesion, the cut and carved side parts aren’t somewhat cleaner than cast acrylic when cutting or CNC engraving processing.

Furthermore, the processing efficiency is slightly lower than cast acrylic because you need to remove a residue from carved side parts often using an air compressor or other methods.
 
The advantage of our extruded acrylic, A1GLAS is that such a residue is quite insignificant during cutting and CNC engraving, which is one of the inherent disadvantages of other extruded acrylic sheets. Due to our extensive knowledge and quality control, the processing efficiency is considerably high when compared to time.

Moreover, our A1GLAS is produced on a complete dust-free production line that doubles as a light guide plate production line, and we do not recycled flakes or pellets by melting them. We use only 100% virgin PMMA resin, which is proven by our product’s superior strength as well as superior transparency and uniform quality.
