For plastic panels such as extruded acrylic, polycarbonate, PET, etc., the surface hardness is lower than that of glass so a UV coating can be applied to the surface of the panel using a flow coating or dip coating method in order to prevent surface scratches. 

The surface strength maintains a level of 5H or more after coating so it protects from general scratches and it has great abrasion resistance, flexibility, printability, and chemical resistance which make it multi-functional.
