Since this acrylic is produced by transparent liquid, MMA with the casting method, the thickness variation is less than that of vertical acrylics because the liquid is cured and heat treated while maintaining it horizontally.

In order to manufacture high-quality cast acrylic, MMA added with a solidification catalyst, is injected between the glass molds for each size, followed by medium temperature heat treatment by a water bath and high temperature heat treatment by a steam dryer for curing. It must be done in succession because if the temperature is inconsistent or the heat treatment is performed with too high-temperature steam, it can cause severe defects such as bubbles or increased thickness deviation, which ultimately weakens the strength of the acrylic sheet. When vertical cast acrylic is manufactured by mixing a part of the recycled scrap liquid, the strength is inevitably lowered because there is a difference in the solid process of bonding between molecules compared to cast acrylic made with only virgin liquid.

Our horizontal cast acrylic (A2GLAS) is manufactured using English-made glass molds with only 100% virgin MMA liquid. We apply an automatic circulation system for medium temperature heat treatment process by a water bath and use a special drying furnace production line to keep the high-heat steam reaching the acrylic surface as uniform as possible for even curing in the secondary high-heat treatment process.
